Could a U.S. Shift to IPv6 Cost $75B?

Internet.com:
"Can IPv6 aid in achieving the organization's strategic vision and mission?" the report asks. "The answer is 'yes' if agencies understand its potential and the new communications paradigm it creates."

Can someone explain to me this paradigm shift? How is IPv6 so much different from IPv4, and is that differance worth $75 Billion?

IP V6 will never take off. At least at endpoints. People will just continue to leverage NAT, VPN and tunneling applications. there are just too many IP V4 devices out there and no one can find a real reason to change. Moral of this story, even if you are creating something for fun make sure it scales to the entire world.
